AZ DockDogs FAQs
NATIONAL EVENTS VS. CLUB EVENTS?
A national event is scheduled and managed by DockDogs worldwide with a camera and electronic scoring. DockDogs national rankings are calculated using the scores from these events. These rankings are then used for invitations to the DockDogs World Championship event.
A club event is scheduled and managed by the local club and scored manually/visually by a judge. DockDogs Club rankings are calculated using the scores from these events. Club scores are used for club level rankings
CLUB MEMBERSHIP VS WORLDWIDE MEMBERSHIP?
A Club membership is a membership only to Arizona DockDogs and all that entails. A Worldwide membership is available from DockDogs Worldwide. More information is available at www.DockDogs.com . A Worldwide Membership gives you access to be able to pre-register for all events and placement in worldwide rankings as well as the ability to earn invitations to compete in the annual DockDogs World Championships.
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO COMPETE IN AN EVENT?
No, all events are open to everyone to compete. However, to pre-register you need a username and login on the Dockdogs.com site. The site lets you “try it out” a few times but will then require you to pay the worldwide membership fee. All competitions are open for everyone to compete with “day of” registration onsite at the event. On site registration can sometimes be limited, so arrive early before the vent begins.
